This month’s fire training focus was on Search and Rescue. The personnel were tasked with locating the victim in a limited visibility environment. To replicate limited visibility, the personnel are wearing opaque shields over their masks. Once the victim is removed from the structure, another crew assesses the patient and begins life saving medical treatment. We were able to use a state-of-the-art manikin that simulates any medical emergency needed for the scenario.
